Colombian Stakeholder Mapping and Community Engagement Workshop June 2018

June 26, 2018 - June 27, 2018

On June 26 and 27, CLDP conducted a 2-day workshop in Bogota, Colombia on stakeholder mapping and community engagement for Colombian government officials.  This workshop assisted Colombia’s officials responsible for overseeing the community outreach and communications in areas licensed for unconventional oil and gas development.   The workshop brought US federal and State regulators and other experts to share lessons learned from the US experience, best practices in community engagement, and how the U.S. and Colombia’s neighbors in Argentina and Chile have engaged local communities and stakeholders. This program is possible through funding from the U.S. State Department's Energy Resources Office.
