Case Management Implementation Assessment and Initial Phase of Courthouse Automation

CLDP staff and advisors completed the initial stage of installation of a computer network at the Palácio D. Ana Joaquina court building in Luanda. Additionally, CLDP staff and Angolan colleagues traveled to the Provincial Courts of Benguela and Lobito to evaluate the implementation of new case management techniques and random selection of judges (introduced in 2005). From Benguela, CLDP staff and Angolan colleagues continued to Lubango to visit the Huila Provincial Court in preparation for implementation of new case management techniques at the Court in August 2006.

On December 5-7, CLDP facilitated a workshop on procurement in Chisinau, Moldova. CLDP organized the workshop in collaboration with the Public Procurement Agency of Moldova (PPA), the Ministry of Finance of Moldova, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDT), and the U.S. Embassy in Moldova.
