From February 22-23, 2017, CLDP will conduct a Workshop on Customs Ethics in Pristina, Kosovo. CLDP will work with Kosovo Customs to develop anti-corruption strategies and implement a comprehensive integrity program. CLDP will utilize international standards and best practices, such as the Integrity Codes Developed by the WCO, the UN Convention Against Corruption, the Integrity Guide of the International Chamber of Commerce, and the Kyoto Convention. Workshops and consultations Kosovo Customs and other interested stakeholders will focus on government transparency and accountability, exchange of best practices, and discussion of plans to implement reform efforts in order to improve the implementation and enforcement of government ethics and integrity programs. CLDP’s workshop will provide comprehensive ethics training for Kosovo Customs officials, as well as work with management to promote adoption of ethics guidelines and best practices in implementation of a comprehensive integrity program. The workshop will feature presentations, as well as practical and effective training through the use of country-specific case studies, US and EU examples, and interactive discussions. This workshop is the fourth phase in a series intended to build the capacity of Kosovo Customs.
