Dominican Republic: Workshop on Contract Administration

On September 6-7, in coordination with the Dominican General Directorate for Public Contracting (DGCP), CLDP will lead a government procurement workshop on contract administration for more than 60 contracting officials from various government agencies. To deliver the workshop, CLDP will call upon the expertise of a DOC contracts attorney and a VA procurement analyst. This workshop comes as a response to a specific request by the DGCP, and topics to be covered include standards of conduct for contracting officers, monitoring a contractor’s performance, contract disputes, remedies, and best practices in contract closeout, among others. This workshop will mark the conclusion of CLDP’s initial two-year project to improve the efficiency of government procurement practices in the Dominican Republic, with the project recently extended by USAID Dominican Republic for another two years.
