January 29, 2018 - January 30, 2019

On January 29-30, 2019, CLDP and ITA will conduct a two-day workshop on public consultation best practices for approximately 100 representatives of Honduran trade ministries responsible for citizen participation in addition to representatives from academia and the private sector. Additionally, representatives from several Salvadoran ministries will participate to share their experiences in developing a framework for notice and comment procedures.

With support from the Arab League, Bahrain plans to create a center for technology transfer and innovation.

In early October 2018, Bahrain enacted a new bankruptcy law. Based upon Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, the new law makes possible the reorganization of insolvent firms. CLDP provided technical assistance to Bahrain as it was drafting the new law, the main purpose of which is to foster SME development.

December 5, 2018 - December 7, 2018

On December 5-7, 2018, CLDP will collaborate with the Public Procurement Agency of Moldova to facilitate a workshop on transparent and efficient procurement in Chisinau, Moldova.  The workshop is part of a series of training procurement workshops led by CLDP that aim to improve the knowledge and skills of Moldovan public procurement officials and contracting authorities so that they can implement international procurement principles consonant with the standards of the WTO Government Procurement Agreement (GPA).   This workshop will build on the themes of previous workshops, f

From December 6-7, 2018, CLDP will conduct a Workshop on PPP Fundamentals in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

December 10, 2018 - December 11, 2018

On December 10-11, 2018, CLDP will conduct a Workshop on Mining and PPP Law in Pristina, Kosovo. 

December 11, 2018 - December 12, 2018

On December 11-12, 2018, CLDP will host a delegation of 15 Guatemalan government officials in Washington, D.C., for a series of consultations on trade facilitation. Officials from the Guatemalan Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, and customs authority will meet with their counterparts at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to exchange experiences and best practices. The meetings will focus on the U.S.

December 13, 2018 - December 14, 2018

As part of CLDP’s on-going assistance to the GOU on trade facilitation, CLDP will support a workshop on December 13th-14th in Kyiv, entitled WTO TFA Agreement in Ukraine: Interagency Coordination and other Priority Issues.
