International Program Specialist Daniela Lopez is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), a division of the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Ms. Lopez works on programs in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Before joining CLDP, Ms. Lopez worked extensively with international non-profits and academic institutions in operations and research roles as well as coordinated community development projects in Central and South America. She served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay where she worked with women’s commissions and local government on sustainable agriculture projects and women’s economic empowerment. Ms. Lopez received a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies (Global Health and Environment in Latin America) and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also studied abroad in Brazil. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Guarani.
