Burma: CLDP Holds Second Law School Competition on International Arbitration

December 6, 2019 - December 7, 2019

On December 6-7, 2019, CLDP is partnering with four universities in Burma to train law students for the Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot competition, the preeminent commercial arbitration practice exercise in the world which is held annually in Hong Kong and Vienna. The aim is to build commercial arbitration skills for these students via developing their analytical research, legal memoranda writing, and oral advocacy skills.  The Vis Moot Program plays a critical role in establishing a successful ADR regime in a country, requiring judicial acceptance of ADR, impartial arbitrators, competent ADR staff, and a strong practitioner class.
