March 15, 2021 - May 24, 2021

CLDP in close collaboration with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will train Bahrain Innovation and Technology Center (BITC) staff regarding filing patents in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council).  This program is part of a CLDP/USPTO collaboration to conduct over 40 hours of intellectual property training for the BITC.  The program will include training on how to obtain patents and copyrights in the US as well as other jurisdictions.  

April 12, 2021 - May 31, 2021

At the request of the Attorney General’s Office of the Maldives, CLDP will develop a pre-recorded webinar series where a number of industry experts will deliver presentations on different areas of finance related to infrastructure and investment. The first module of this engagement will focus on Contract Drafting with topics to be covered including contract drafting 101, infrastructure contracts and key clauses, FIDIC contracts, common contract disputes, and negotiating contracts.

May 5, 2021 - May 6, 2021

CLDP, in collaboration with ITA and CBP, will conduct a regional trade facilitation workshop on public consultation and interagency cooperation for Guatemalan government and private sector representatives. Government officials from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, and Honduras will also participate in the workshop to encourage regional integration. The Guatemalan government can improve the transparency and effectiveness of the regulatory process through  transparent and consistent public consultation processes.

May 20, 2021 - June 30, 2021

CLDP, in collaboration with the Georgian Revenue Service, will lead a two-part program on customs and trade facilitation that will focus on three topics: post clearance audit, risk management, and authorized economic operators (AEOs).  CLDP will first lead a series of capacity building webinars for customs officials on AEOs, post-clearance audit, and risk management.  The goal of the webinars series is to strengthen the capacity of Georgian customs officials to implement post-clearance audits in a way that complements the overall risk management program.  This aspect of the p

May 24, 2021 - May 31, 2021

CLDP will partner with the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia ‘Sakpatenti’ to bring together through a virtual platform of government officials from the Caucasus Region and Eastern Europe for the first meeting of the Caucasus Expert Level Working Group on Intellectual Property Rights. The working group will identify mutual challenges for the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights and develop recommendations for regional cooperation.

May 29, 2021

CLDP and the Nepal Bar Association will collaborate for the “All Nepal National Conference of Lawyers” to be held in Pokhara, Nepal from May 28-30, 2021. The “All Nepal National Conference of Lawyers” will congregate approximately 3000 lawyers from all over Nepal. The event will include sessions covering various issues of constitutional, civil, criminal and commercial laws, with CLDP leading a hybrid plenary session on commercial law on May 29 for up to 500 participants.
