Angela Arza

Management and Program Analyst

Angela Arza is a Management and Program Analyst in the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the Department of Commerce Office of the General Counsel. CLDP provides training and consultative services to countries in economic transition. Mrs. Arza received her bachelor’s degree in Bioanalysis in the Dominican Republic, her country of origin.

Prior to joining CLDP, Mrs. Arza was the Executive Assistant for the Deputy General Counsel and later the Under Secretary for Economic Statistic Administration in the Department of Commerce.

From 2010 to 2015, Mrs. Arza lived in Rome, Italy, becoming fluent in Italian, her third language, and performed administrative duties for all three U.S. diplomatic missions. Initially providing administrative support to the Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. Embassy to Italy; then she was employed by the State Department, assisting the U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome performing administrative duties at the mission’s front office; finally Mrs. Arza provided direct support to the front office for the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) and the U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See.

Mrs. Arza had a ten-year career from 2000-2010 as an elementary school Spanish teacher for grades K-6th.

Angela is a very active outdoor person who enjoys walking, tennis and spending time with her family. Mrs. Arza, along with her husband, is the proud mother of four children.
