CLDP conducted a one-day workshop with participants from the PPP Authority (PPPA) and Ministry of Shipping (MoS). The workshop was delivered by an expert from the Army Corps of Engineers and focused on Feasibility Studies and Vertical Teams. Following the workshop, CLDP took part in a visit to the Chattogram Port. The trip consisted of a guided tour of Chattogram Port’s facilities, an interagency meetings with port stakeholders, and a tour of the new Chattogram Bay Terminal site. CLDP employees were accompanied by PPPA and MoS officials during the tour. The visit built upon the recent consultations held in New Orleans, USA and will help inform CLDP’s future workshop programming for the PPPA and MoS by providing insight into Bangladesh’s port and shipping legal capacity challenges.
