On September 24-26, 2019, in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), CLDP led a workshop on intellectual property rights (IPR) enforcement for prosecutors, investigators, and judges in coordination with the judicial center of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The workshop featured presentations from an assistant U.S. attorney and a U.S. federal judge on IPR enforcement as well as practical training in adjudication skills using case studies and interactive discussions. In order to strengthen BiH’s intellectual property regime and create a critical mass of prosecutors, investigators, and judges trained in the enforcement of IP laws, CLDP will provide technical assistance focused on the prosecution and adjudication of trademark infringement and copyright infringement cases. CLDP will include a specific focus on software and media licensing violations, which will be crucial to BiH’s growing information and communications technology industry.
