Under the Central Asia Women’s Economic Empowerment project, CLDP supported a year-long mentorship initiative for a group of Central Asian women artisans eager to scale their small enterprises and expand regional trade. The culmination of our collective effort, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institute and USAID, resulted in the creation of the “Lookbook of Central Asian Women Artisans,” propelling women’s economic growth and broadening the commercial opportunities for women artisan businesses across the Central Asia. The lookbook launch is poised to spur the establishment of government programs bolstering women’s entrepreneurship and advancing inclusive policies in Central Asia.
