On December 1-2, 2017, CLDP, in partnership with The High School of Justice (HSOJ) and Embassy Tbilisi, held a two-day workshop on insolvency law in Tbilisi, Georgia. The workshop was led by  U.S. Chief Bankruptcy Judge, Michael Williamson, Middle District of Florida, and Dave Curry, a retired partner from the law firm Mayer Brown, LLP and expert in corporate restructuring and rehabilitation. 

20 Georgian judges attended the two-day program, which included group discussions on the current insolvency framework in Georgia; presentations on international norms and standards, including secured lending, reorganization, and the use of specialized courts; the use of financial experts in valuation of assets; and effective case management. Participants also learned about these topics through interactive case studies, group discussions, and presentations from experts in the field.
