CLDP, in coordination with the United States Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI) and the Federal Communications Commission, sponsored five officials from the Pakistan Frequency Allocation Board and Pakistan Telecommunications Authority to participate in a course on radio spectrum monitoring and in further educational sessions on current issues in radio frequency management and regulation. The USTTI portion of the program was attended by officials from a number of developing countries and provided an opportunity for all participants to learn and exchange information.

This program is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s technical assistance to the Government of Pakistan in the areas of energy, intellectual property and commercial law education and implementation, including those in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. The USTTI a public-private, non-profit partnership dedicated to sharing knowledge in the Information and communications technology (ICT) sector knowledge with women and men dedicated to making modern communications a reality throughout the developing world.  Volunteer ICT experts from industry and government lead the courses.
