US Study Tour on Technology Transfer and Innovation-based Entrepreneurship

CLDP organized a US Study Tour on Harnessing the Benefits of Technology Transfer and Innovation-based Entrepreneurship for Economic Growth in Algeria and Tunisia in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, from February 29-March 3, 2016. University presidents from 7 universities in Tunisia, the head of the Tunisian Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research, and 2 leaders of Algerian technology transfer offices participated. They joined meetings and site visits at Northeastern University, Massachussetts Insitute of Technology, Harvard University, and business incubators and accelorators in Boston and Cambridge. The program focused on how efficient technology transfer offices and robust entrepreneurship programs, at the university level, can be leveraged to create innovation ecosystems that ultimately contribute to economic development.

This program is funded through the US Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). It is part of a multi-year CLDP effort to support entrepreneurship and innovation in Algeria and Tunisia.

May 13, 2019 - May 15, 2019

On May 13-15, 2019, in Tbilisi, Georgia, CLDP facilitated the eighth meeting of the Expert Level Working Group on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures for officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The group benefited from additional participation by officials from Ukraine and Georgia.
