CLDP Organizes Workshop on Franchising and Franchise Expo Visit
CLDP hosted a delegation of franchising stakeholders from Algeria and Tunisia, including government officials and private-sector representatives, in Paris, France from March 17-19, 2017, for a workshop and expo visit focused on international franchising.
CLDP organized a two-day training focusing on the basic concepts of franchising, as well as legal and financing aspects unique to the sector. CLDP also organized visits to local franchises to show the concept in action. The participants also attended Franchise Expo Paris, one of the largest such events in the world, with more than 400 franchises represented. At the expo, participants were introduced to US franchises, facilitated in cooperation with US Embassy Paris.
This program is funded through the US Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and organized in coordination with U.S. Embassy Algiers and U.S. Embassy Tunis. It is part of multi-year efforts to develop the franchising sectors in Algeria and Tunisia, with an aim of promoting entrepreneurship and economic development in those countries.
