Judicial Capacity Consultations

March 31, 2010 - April 10, 2010

In preparation of future judicial training in Libya, three high ranking Libyan Court officials visited the United States to meet with agencies and organizations specializing in judicial decisionmaking and training. These delegates visited the administrative offices of the US Court system and held discussions with US Federal Judges and Federal Judiciary. They also visited agencies participating in judicial decisions in the US, including the US Department of Justice and the US Patent and Trademark Office. The goal of the program is to establish the best course of training for all judiciary in Libya.

CLDP in Action

On February 19, CLDP participated in a networking luncheon, hosted by the Washington Intergovernmental Professional Group, to hear from Uzbekistan’s ambassador to the U.S. about Uzbekistan’s commitment to reform and openness.
