On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, representatives from government and private sectors of Egypt and the U.S. met to witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and the American National Standards Institute. Following the ceremony, participants held a roundtable discussion to help better acquaint the private sector with the two standardization systems and seek ways to make the systems more effective in promoting mutual trade interests.
