CLDP in collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO), supported a delegation of the Afghanistan National Procurement Authority (NPA) to attend the GPA June Committee Meeting at the WTO Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.  The Afghan delegation’s participation in the GPA Committee Meeting ensures that: Afghanistan understands the procedural and substantive requirements; play a more active role on issues critical to Afghanistan’s trade and investment sector; and provide answers to questions posed by GPA Committee members, including the United States. The Afghan delegation also attended a two day workshop on GPA immediately following the Committee Meeting, focusing on Afghanistan’s compliance with the WTO and GPA.
