On September 29-30, 2020, CLDP, in collaboration with the Honduran Ministries of Customs and Economy, will continue a three-part virtual workshop series on Advance Ruling Best Practices. The third workshop will focus on effectively communicating and coordinating modifications or new rulings across ports of entry and with private sector representatives. Interactive sessions will showcase the importance of fostering interagency coordination at the national and regional level as the Northern Triangle countries work to harmonize their processes through the regional customs union. To continue CLDP’s efforts of encouraging regional integration and coordination across Central American governments, representatives from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Costa Rica will also participate by sharing their experiences and lessons learned in implementing their respective advanced ruling processes with the 30-40 Honduran government officials. This workshop is part of a multiphase effort to promote transparency, cooperation, and coordination within the Honduran government and to improve intraregional trade in Central America.
