On May 25, CLDP conducted an introductory virtual workshop focused on 5G Network Security, Supplier Diversity, and Open Radio Access Networks (RAN) for the Communications and Media Commission (CMC) of the Government of Iraq. This workshop, which followed a meeting on 5G security and supplier diversity held last November by the Department of State, utilized experts from the Federal Communications Commission, Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the National Information and Telecommunications Administration, and the Open Ran Policy Coalition, and set the foundation for future governmental relationships and CLDP technical assistance.
