Iraq: Negotiating and Drafting Successful Technology Licensing Agreements

From July 30 to August 10, CLDP hosted U.S. Consultations to an Iraq delegation on “Negotiating and Drafting Successful Technology Licensing Agreements”.  The delegation consisted of distinguished law professors from Iraq’s law schools and engineers from the newly created Technology Transfer Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology.  The program is part of CLDP’s on-going effort to create a cadre of technology licensing experts, who will significantly contribute to Iraq’s economic development.  During the two-week program, the delegation participated in simulated negotiations, training sessions, and met with U.S. law schools, U.S. licensing experts, university-based incubators, and U.S. government agencies.
