On November 16, CLDP launched the Understanding Power Transmission Financing handbook at the Africa Energy Forum in London. The new handbook, a part of the Understanding series, was developed by CLDP in partnership with USAID - Power Africa and the African Development Bank’s Africa Legal Support Facility. It outlines options for accessing finance and creating opportunities for private participation to develop transmission infrastructure. The Understanding series (www.cldp.doc.gov/Understanding) now includes a total of six handbooks, with 55,000 copies in print and tens of thousands downloaded online.
