On April 16-18, CLDP conducted a land acquisition program for stakeholders from Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka that play a role in acquiring land for public projects.  Eminent domain experts from Minnesota and an international public-private partnership lawyer delivered presentations on statutory authority, role of government in acquiring land, process, valuation, and international case studies. The three participating countries also shared summaries of their legislation and process, and CLDP experts conducted one-on-one consultations to discuss opportunities for the strengthening of their respective land acquisition regimes.
