CLDP arranged a three-month fellowship at Innovation Partners Healthcare for Dr. Kaumal who has been charged with commercialization responsibilities at the University of Colombo. In close collaboration with Focus IP Group, LLC, Innovation Partners Healthcare and WIPO, CLDP created this opportunity for the Fellow to shadow and be mentored by technology transfer experts in the Boston area. The Fellowship equipped the Fellow to launch and sustain a technology transfer program in his own country to begin the process of translating academic research to the private sector and to start creating a sustainable technology-based sector in the local economy.
