CLDP conducted a week-long Market Access and International Trade Seminar in Islamabad, Pakistan, August 9-13, 2010, for the Government of Pakistan's leading trade policy and research think tank, the Pakistan Institute for Trade and Development (PITAD). Members of PITAD's management team and researchers as well as representatives from various government ministries attended. This seminar was an extension of a market access "primer" that CLDP conducted for PITAD in May 2010 in Washington D.C. The program participants engaged in intensive market access case studies and negotiation exercises delivered by a world re-known international trade expert. This program will allow the participants to incorporate market access considerations in their trade research activities and also build up the participants' capacity for trade negotiations.
