CLDP lead two consecutive works on competitive tendering of power projects in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The first program focused on how to tender power projects to attract international developers and investors and how to structure the bids for purchase by cross-border buyers.

CLDP held consultations on public procurement in Tunis from May 9-13, in cooperation with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and Tunisia's High Authority for Public Procurement (HAICOP).

CLDP, in cooperation with the Department of Commerce Research Library, organized the second annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Over 20 children attended the event, which took place on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

On April 26 in Tunis, CLDP co-sponsored a Workshop for Future Franchisees in Tunisia. The program had nearly 100 attendees and focused on franchise contracts, franchise financing, understanding the concept of franchising, and choosing the right franchise network.

On April 26th, CLDP, ITA and U.S. Embassy Islamabad co-sponsored a World IP Day conference in Islamabad conducted by the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO).
