CLDP organized a regional conference on Best Practices and Good Governance in Public Procurement in Casablanca, Morocco in May 2013. CLDP worked with key government-procurement officials from Algeria, Libya, Morocco,and Tunisia to assist in the development of regulations and practices that contribute to transparent and efficient government-procurement systems.

On November 7, CLDP hosted a delegation of young entrepreneurs from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as part of a Department of State sponsored program on “Inspiring and Accelerating Entrepreneurship in MENA Youth.”

Begun as a small joint venture between USAID and Commerce to help the Former Soviet Bloc countries of Eastern Europe transition to more market-oriented economies, CLDP has expanded to help meet the legal technical assistance needs of more than 50 countries in Eurasia, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. On February 23rd, CLDP celebrated 20 years of technical assistance in commercial law.
 

CLDP supported the Algerian government's Agency for Technology Transfer (ANVREDET) in an international conference on the theme of research and innovation in the economic world that will be held May 19-21, 2008 in Algiers.
