Tajma Rahimic is an Attorney Advisor with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce where she primarily works on Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership portfolio. Ms. Rahimic helps developing countries with legal, regulatory and policy matters in telecommunications, data protection, privacy and related areas, with an emphasis on Central and Southeast Europe as well as Middle East and North Africa regions.

Prior to joining CLDP, Ms. Rahimic was an Attorney Advisor at the Federal Communications Commission where she used her regulatory expertise to facilitate auctions for licenses for electromagnetic spectrum.  From 2014 to 2019, Ms. Rahimic was in private practice with a focus on telecommunications and privacy law.

Ms. Rahimic earned her Juris Doctorate at the George Washington University Law School graduating with honors. She earned her dual degree in Journalism and Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia, graduating summa cum laude. Ms. Rahimic speaks Bosnian and Serbo-Croatian and is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
