Improving the legal environment for business worldwide
CLDP will support the travel of students and coaches from the University of Colombo team to Geneva, Switzerland from June 27th – July 2nd to participate in the final round of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition.
CLDP will travel to Geneva, Switzerland from June 27th – July 1st to conduct an assessment for its Eastern Europe Regional and Moldova Bilateral portfolios.
On July 6th-8th, CLDP, in collaboration with Moldova’s Customs Services, will hold a two-day workshop for Moldovan customs officials on customs control procedures at airports.
On July 11th – 12th, CLDP will host a study visit to the port of Constanta in Romania for 10 officials from Moldova’s customs services.
On July 11-15, CLDP will collaborate with The Nepal Bar Association, the Office of the Investment Board of Nepal (OIBN), the Department of Roads, and Karnali Province to deliver a workshop focused on long-term contract management.
From July 20- 27, CLPD will hold two bilateral trainings with the Cyber Readiness Institute with SMEs in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Cyber Readiness training is designed to be clear and understandable for SMEs regardless of size, technical expertise, and industry sector.
On July 18-20, CLDP will deliver a workshop on pitching projects for The Office of the Investment Board of Nepal (OIBN). OIBN has been working to create a pipeline of bankable projects and has expressed the need to attract investors for their projects.
On July 18-20, CLDP, in collaboration with Moldova’s Public Procurement Agency, will hold a three-day workshop for Moldovan procurement officials from the national and sub-national levels on best practices in procurement of foodstuffs and travel.
In collaboration with Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (KEMENKO EKON), CLDP will hold workshops on municipal and sharia compliant bonds to build up capacity within Indonesia’s subnational government to issue regional loans and gain issuance approval from the Ministry of Home
CLDP will conduct a three-day strategic planning session for officials and staff with the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
On August 21-23, CLDP, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Authority, will hold a workshop to discuss project identification and selection using the World Bank Project Screening Tool and other methodologies.
CLDP will coordinate with the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) and Ministry of Shipping (MoS) to arrange a 2-day concession agreement negotiation workshop for Payra Port Authority, MoS PPP Cell, and port-facing PPPA employees.
