Vania Silva is an International Program Specialist at the United States Department of Commerce, Office of the General Counsel’s Commercial Law Development Program. She works primarily on CLDP’s energy portfolio, specifically the Asia EDGE initiative.

Prior to joining CLDP, Ms. Silva spent several years working in the finance sector in New York and in the public policy sector in the UK and Europe. Most recently, she served in Peace Corps Madagascar as an Education Volunteer.

Ms. Silva received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and her Master’s in International Relations from New York University. She speaks French, Bulgarian, and Malagasy, and has a working knowledge of Russian.
