
Vania Silva is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce. She works primarily on CLDP’s energy and minerals portfolio.
Prior to joining CLDP, Ms. Silva spent several years working in the finance sector in New York and in the public policy sector in the UK and Europe. Most recently, she served in Peace Corps Madagascar as an Education Volunteer.
Ms. Silva received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and her Master’s in International Relations from New York University. She speaks French, Bulgarian, and Malagasy, and has a working knowledge of Russian.
