On June 13-15, 2012, CLDP, in cooperation with the Public Institution Centres for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of FBiH and Republic Srpska, conducted a program on the adjudication of international sales contract disputes for 17 judges coming from all administrative regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The program focused on common terms and frequent issues in adjudication of matters related to the international sale of goods.Topics included delivery and payment, jurisdiction, international standards, and understanding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). 

Judge Morrison England of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, Judge Barbara Rothstein of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and CLDP Chief Counsel Stephen Gardner led the workshop in Sarajevo.  CLDP aims to improve the capacity of BiH judges to adjudicate international commercial dispute cases, which will result in a business environment conducive to increased trade and investment and economic growth for BiH, thereby accelerating integration with Europe and increasing opportunities for American firms doing business there.
