CLDP lawyers and expert advisors traveled to Oman on June 1-2, 2013 to advise on the development of key laws that are important for Oman’s economic development and important for harmonized commercial laws in the region.  This legal team advised the Ministry of Commerce on Consumer Protection and Insolvency Law.  In addition, the team advised the Omani Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (PAIPED) in the development of a foreign investment law in Oman.  As part of this effort, CLDP worked with the burgeoning Oman legal association to educate lawyers on the value of legal activism in commercial law development.
