CLDP held a Workshop on Whistleblower Laws and Employee Ethics in Baku, Azerbaijan from October 22-23. The workshop was held in close coordination with the Anti-Corruption Directorate of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan; the Azerbaijan Commission on Combating Corruption; the US Embassy in Baku; and the Department of Justice's Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance, and Training (OPDAT). The program is a follow-up to a program on the fundamentals of open government held with the same partners last December.

The program included discussions of Azerbaijan’s draft law on whistleblowing, whistleblower protections, and the investigation and prosecution of cases resulting from whistleblower complaints. It also included discussions on codes of conduct and ethics training for Azeri officials. This program aims to encourage the development and implementation of effective open-government policies in Azerbaijan. It was attended by 30 Azerbaijan government officials working on anti-corruption issues.
