CLDP has been working with an inter-agency group comprised of Iraq’s ministries that conduct scientific research to help train managers of technology incubators. A key objective of this group is to promote technology-based entrepreneurship, in particular, through the development of technology incubators. As the first phase of a two-phase program, CLDP conducted a five-day workshop in Jordan. During the first three days of the workshop, certified trainers under contract with CLDP trained the Iraqi managers on basic incubator management, based upon InfoDev training modules. The last two days of the workshop took place at Jordan’s iPARK incubator where the incubator manager presented on her duties, responsibilities, and incubatee engagement best practices. The delegation also toured the incubator facilities and met with pre and post graduated incubatees.
