CLDP hosted a delegation of franchising stakeholders from Tunisia and Algeria in Paris, France from March 18-20, 2016, for a Workshop on Franchising and Visit to Franchise Expo Paris. Participants included representatives from government ministries and private-sector executives featured franchising experts from Europe and the United States. The delegation attended a two-day training focusing on the basic concepts and legal aspects of franchising, including a visit to a local franchise. The participants also attended Franchise Expo Paris, one of the largest such events in the world. At the expo, participants were introduced to US franchises, facilitated in cooperation with US Embassy Paris. 

This program is funded through the US Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), and is part of a larger CLDP initiative aiming to liberalize franchising in Algeria and Tunisia.
