CLDP sponsors the travel of three teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in the 23rd Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. The teams came from the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law, the University of Zenica Faculty of Law, and Istocno Sarajevo University Faculty of Law. The annual Vis Moot is the pre-eminent international moot on commercial law and arbitration. CLDP started its inaugural Vis Moot program in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2014. Prior to the competition, CLDP sponsore written memoranda and oral advocacy training events in October 2015 and February 2016. With the assistance of student advisors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and BiH’s Association ARBITRI, CLDP helped prepare the student teams to compete in this rigorous and prestigious competition.

The three teams also took part in a two day Vis Pre-Moot organized by the University of Pittsburgh and then participated in the week-long Vis Moot competition. This program will improve the knowledge of BiH law students and university faculty of international commercial law and arbitration and will help develop institutionalized Vis Moot programs in universities throughout BiH.
