From April 19-24, CLDP led a series of franchising workshops in Tunis, Tunisia. The workshops began with a workshop on the legal aspects of franchising in Tunisia for approximately 100 lawyers and judges on April 19-20. CLDP also led an introductory workshop on franchising on April 23 for future franchisees, as well as a meeting of the Franchise Business Club on April 24. To implement the workshops, CLDP called upon the expertise of international experts from the law firm of Taylor Wessing and the franchise association AC Franchise, as well as several local Tunisian franchising experts. CLDP's franchise programming in Tunisia is part of an effort to promote entrepreneurship and economic development, funded by the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative.
