On February 21, CLDP, in coordination with Arbitration Initiative Georgia, conducted a one-day training for law students on developing the fundamentals of international arbitration and oral advocacy in Tbilisi, Georgia.  The training was followed by a CLDP sponsored team competition on February 22-23, that included teams from seven Georgian law schools, as well as teams from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and other countries. Training sessions were led by student advisors and Vis Moot alumni from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and the University of Zenica. The training and competition helped prepare participating teams to compete in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot) in Vienna, Austria.  Through the training and competition, CLDP helped develop skills in legal analysis, advocacy, and international arbitration for future lawyers in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, which will help improve the contracts enforcement mechanism in the Caucasus and encourage regional cooperation and implementation of international best practices in regional arbitration.
