Thomas Choi is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he primarily works on programs in Central Asia. 

Prior to joining CLDP, Mr. Choi worked in Corporate Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. Most recently, he served as a Community Development Volunteer in Peace Corps Ukraine. During his service, Mr. Choi worked as an NGO Advisor, working with government officials, businesses, and organizations to promote local and regional economic development through entrepreneurship, tourism, and civic engagement. While in Ukraine, he served on the national working group for Model United Nations and also directed programs supporting vulnerable and displaced populations. 

Mr. Choi received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics from the University of Chicago and has worked abroad in South Korea and Argentina. He speaks Korean, Russian, and Spanish and is conversational in Ukrainian and Chinese.
