On September 22, CLDP organized a webinar on pre-qualification and evaluation methods for Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). The webinar was pre-recorded and dispersed to CLDP counterparts in Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. PPPs provide an innovative approach to developing major infrastructure projects across the globe, but the development of a PPP requires a significant amount of time and resources. Pre-qualification and evaluation methods are utilized to select appropriate projects for the PPP pipeline and ensure resources are well spent. During the webinar, experts discussed the differences between requests for information and requests for qualifications (RfQ), the criteria for an effective RfQ, how to design and implement an RfQ, and how to evaluate project bidders. This webinar will be followed by a live question and answer session to be held for interested participants in late September. The webinar is part of a PPP-focused series developed for Power Africa and the Indo-Pacific Strategy.
