On October 26, CLDP, in cooperation with Morocco’s Treasury, organized a webinar for government procurement stakeholders on public procurement for innovation. The program covered existing procurement mechanisms within the U.S. and Moroccan governments, as well as challenges and opportunities for Morocco’s procurement system. Participants and experts from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the General Services Administration discussed best practices to promote innovation in procurement, including increasing public private dialogue, designing simplified contracting vehicles, and revising the regulatory landscape. This program is part of CLDP’s ongoing effort to support Morocco in promoting a more efficient, transparent, and inclusive procurement system.
