Maldives and Sri Lanka: ADR Judicial Exchange

On May 22-24, CLDP held judicial exchange among judges from the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and the United States, on the role of judges in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The judges shared the ADR regimes and the role of judges in their respective countries. The judges also focused on the limited role of judges in recognizing and enforcing arbitral award and respecting mediation settlement agreements.
