CLDP coordinated with the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Authority and the Ministry of Shipping (MoS) to arrange a 2-day concession agreement negotiation workshop for Payra Port Authority, MoS PPP Cell, and port-facing PPPA employees. The objective of the workshop series was to build capacity within these ministries and authorities to improve inter-ministry project coordination, develop internal policies to improve concession agreement negotiation procedures, and negotiate concession agreements in accordance with regional and global best practices with an emphasis on risk transfer. The capacity building gained from the workshop series will improve PPP project outcomes for the MoS, assist with appropriate risk transfer to the private sector, and improve concession agreement negotiation timelines.
