Mark Warburton

International Program Specialist

 

Mark Warburton works in the Office of General Counsel as an International Program Specialist (IPS) at the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP). Mark works on the Asia-Pacific team focusing on Public Private Partnerships and PRC competition in the region.

Prior to joining CLDP, Mark worked at the State Department’s Foreign Service Institute (FSI) where he managed various responsibilities including facilitating diplomatic training modules on Global Health Security, Climate Tradecraft, and Commercial Tradecraft, assisting in the design and execution of FSI’s pilot Climate Finance workshop, and managing evaluations and surveys for courses in the Economics and Commercial Studies Unit. Mark has held many roles in public service, previously working for the U.S. Department of State’s China Desk as a Strategic Communications intern and as a legislative intern for his representative in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Mark graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in International Affairs and Political Science and a minor in Chinese. During his time at George Washington University, Mark was honored as a Boren Scholar in Mandarin Chinese in Taipei, Taiwan.
