Aspiring Businesswomen's Conference in Kabul

-

On February 17-20, CLDP attorneys and local representatives from USAID’s Financial Access for Investing in the Development of Afghanistan program conducted a four-day training workshop on business registration, business financing, and commercial contract drafting. The program was organized in conjunction with the American University of Afghanistan for an audience of forty aspiring businesswomen. The program content was tailored to develop the skills necessary for aspiring businesswomen to start their own business, avoid legal disputes, and better manage business finances. Topics included: business registration, essential contract terms, dispute resolution mechanisms, accessing loans, financing regulations, and security interests. This program aims to equip Afghan aspiring business women with the tools necessary to develop their prospective businesses and promote economic growth in Afghanistan. This training was part of an initiative called "From Aspiring Businesswomen to Successful Business Owners." Through this initiative, CLDP and AUAF intend to train and mentor forty aspiring businesswomen from Kabul and several provinces to develop their own successful businesses.
