As part of its continued cooperation with the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Government of Tunisia, CLDP helped organized the third annual TunisMed Franchise Expo in Tunis December 7-9, 2011. CLDP sponsored the participation of two experts, Bachir Mihoubi (an international franchise expert who helped launch several well-known international franchises, including Caribou Coffee and Cinnabon) and Hind Ben Miloud (the head of the Algerian Franchise Association). Mr. Mihoubi was able to convince two US franchises to participate in the event. Through a series of training sessions including a franchising overview, developing and exporting a franchise, and lessons learned from the Algerian experience, CLDP experts provided technical advice to interested entrepreneurs who either want to enter into a franchise agreement or to start their own.
