CLDP has been tasked, as part of Power Africa, to improve the legal and regulatory environment for developing and maintaining power projects in the African market.  On November 10-11, 2015, CLDP hosted a 2-day Workshop on The Credit Support Question: Challenges and Solutions to the Financing of Power Projects in Africa. The workshop was sponsored by the Power Africa initiative and brought together government representatives from a dozen African nations (Cameroon, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda) to share their experience with power project financing alongside international experts and U.S. government representatives.
