The Fourth Annual Middle East Commercial Arbitration was held March 1-7, 2014 in Doha, Qatar. This event was organized by CLDP and Qatar University with support from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law’s Center for International Legal Education.

This competition event brought together teams from the Middle East to compete for regional recognition and to prepare for the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held annually in Vienna, Austria.  The Vis Moot is the premier moot on international commercial arbitration.  The program held three days of training and two days of simulated mooting, replicating the experience anticipated at the Vienna Vis Moot this April 2014.  Students from the region, to include, Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia, looked to the Vis Middle East Pre-Moot as an opportunity to advance their legal and oral advocacy skills and to network with current practitioners.
