As part of its continued cooperation with the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Government of Tunisia, CLDP organized workshops on franchising during the 6th TunisMed Franchise Expo, held in Tunis from December 7-8, 2016. CLDP organized and sponsored training sessions on franchising in the global and Tunisian contexts as well as franchise models, contracts, negotiations, and finance, led by Tunisian and international franchise experts. CLDP has supported the expo for several years to encourage franchising as a tool for economic development, as part of its technical assistance to Tunisia funded by the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
CLDP also sponsored a delegation of three Algerian officials to attend the expo, in order to learn more about the franchise sector and to network with their Tunisian counterparts. Their visit is part of a multiphase CLDP program to encourage franchising in Algeria.
